- I just replaced an old Zoom fax/modem (which was working fine as
- both a fax & modem) with a brand new SOTA Practical Peripherals PM288 MT
- II V.34 unit. Now the "Fax" applet in the Windows for WorkGripes Control
- panel can't find a fax modem. The unit works as a modem (I talking
- through it as I type), and the "fax" applet talks to it when I go through
- the "Add..." procedure (well, the RX and TX LEDs flash for about 10
- seconds), but I get a "Can't find ..." dialog.
- I tried booting with a naked configuration : no diff. I
- re-installed the old Zoom : no problem (i.e. installs Ok, works Ok). I
- checked the PractiFAQ : nothing. I checked for updated drivers at CICA :
- nothing.
- Here's the "ATIxxx" strings :
-
- ATI1 : 254
- ATI2 : OK
- ATI3 : 04-00971-720 34AC
- ATI4 : a150040FB978DF00008 bC6008000 r10051111510120040

- Anyone got any ideas??
